*giggle* I have to say, I adore the image of an Emperor holding a teddy bear.
I can't think of words to praise your art right now.. I'm more in babble mode. ^-^
Reading through your comments makes me laugh. Tacohomo? Awsome, made me laugh so much. ^_^
I like Hotohori, though he's not a top favourite, he's still up there. He's just very mysterious, though that's part of his appeal..
I know. But as much of a HotohorixMiaka fan I am, looking at the whole picture, everything that happened, I've come to see that perhaps they're both better off that way. Even if at some point Miaka did choose Hotohori, because of her original attachment to Tamahome, her heart would not have fully been there for Hotohori, which would possibly hurt him more than how she already did(in which case I don't think Miaka truly realized Hotohori's feelings for her, and how much she really did hurt him.) But....yeah I think maybe I should stop there...sorry FY, and particulary Hotohori are my favourites and I tend to read really deep nto characters adn their relationships and then I babble
When I saw his kindness and devotion to her, i thought it's outrageous she doesn't repond to it and ignores him completely. When Tamahome was gone i hoped they would get together (okay, improbable, it was given from the start its Miaka+Tamahome)... but if the priestess was me, i would definitely return Hotohori's kindness! (i ignore Tamahome for a change XD)
Yeah, it's very upsetting seeing that she realized too late how he felt about her and that it was real. Of course, in a way, Miaka DID give Hotohori what he desired, even if not in the way expected. She DID love him, if only as a friend and not romantically, and she loved him for who he was, not just because he was the emperor, which is the one thing he wished for most. She did care for him, and showed him a familiarity that he wasn't used to. You see this by that in the beginning she would slip up and refer to him as just Hotohori then immediately correct herself and say "Kotei Heika"/"Your Highness" but quickly stopped correcting herself and just referred to him as "Hotohori" whereas most of the other characters still referred to him as "his Highness", etc.
Of course, it has to be forgiven since he did find what he was looking for with Houki, too. It's probably better since had he not been slain, he would not have been able to be with Miaka after she left the book world anyway. Unlike Tamahome, who becomes a free agent (because after Suboshi murders his family he has nothing left to tie him to that world) Hotohori has responsibilities and deep ties to their world. He would not have been able to do what Tamahome did and then both he and Miaka would have had their hearts broken.
yeah i know i saw. my friend chichiri from an rp told me and i checked it out. though they were in english, adn they cut off the ends of each episode!!!! makes it confusing. good thing i have them all on CD-R...in japanese. the bustrip at the end of the first ones was cut off, and the fushigi akugi at the end of the 2nd set was as well. stupid AZN!
bah. well if you use bittorrent, go to boxtorrents you can dl the OVAs in full(make sure you dl the set that says duel audio, since the other one is messed up when you try to play them) and the bustrip and fushigi akugi is included at the end of each episode! (though the only drawback for you may be that you'll have eikoden with it as well, and you already have that on DVD right?)
